Here is a selection of my favourite low carb dessert options for a nice refreshing sweet fix.
Flip O's Ice blocks
This new product has been a hit with my clients this summer. Each water ice has only 10 calories and zero carbs. It's a great option when you are feeling hot and bothered and need something cool.
Zilch Ice cream
Zilch is a popular option with my clients. It is available at all supermarkets and has no added sugar. It does have maltitol and sorbitol so be wary if you follow a low fodmap plan due to IBS.
high protein berry gelato
Blend up 1/2 a cup of frozen berries with a scoop of protein powder, ice and a dash of milk. It has the thick texture of gelato and is a great, high protein dessert.
